Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:

  1. If you're headed into Nashville next weekend, don't miss the 51st Annual Spring Tennessee Craft Fair will be held from May 6 to 8 at Centennial Park. The event is a celebration of handmade art and craft by artists from Tennessee and across the Southeast. Attractions include a demonstration tent that will feature local artists from The Clay Lady's Campus, the Tennessee Association of Woodturners, and Betty Turner from This Little Light Creative Glass Art. (Tennessean)
  2. FirstBank Amphitheater is hosting its first singalong this summer. Disney Concerts and Live Nation present Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert, where Walt Disney Animation Studios' film will come to life in a one-of-a-kind concert event, featuring the entire feature-length film and an on-stage band celebrating all the record-breaking hit songs from the beloved soundtrack. The show will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 9; click here to buy tickets. (Williamson Source)
  3. For the month of May, Franklin-based Hattie Jane's Creamery will partner with Nashville nonprofit Thistle Farms to celebrate 25 years of serving women survivors of addiction and abuse. As a nod to the organization's symbolic thistle, Hattie Jane's launched Lavender & Wildflower Honey in all scoop shops. The specialty flavor, steeped in lavender flowers and swirled with local wildflower honey, will also be available at The Café at Thistle Farms throughout May. (Williamson Source)
