Teen Accused Of Nearly Hitting Franklin Police Officer With Stolen Car After Shoplifting
A 16-year-old girl faces a long list of charges after allegedly crashing into four police cruisers with a stolen car after shoplifting.
FRANKLIN, TN — Franklin Police arrested a 16-year-old girl at her Nashville high school Wednesday, alleging she hit four police cruisers with a stolen car after she shoplifted.
On August 10, Franklin officers investigating a shoplifting complaint located a car that had been reported stolen in the Mallory Lane Academy Sports' parking lot. As officers approached, the two shoplifting suspects were getting into the car and the driver sped away, crashing into four police cruisers and nearly hitting one officer.

The 16-year-old, who has not been identified, is charged with felony theft, reckless aggravated assault, three counts of aggravated assault and shoplifting. Investigators expect to file additional charges.
