🌱TN State Parks' First Day Hikes + Leiper's Fork Christmas Album

  1. Tennessee State Parks invite all Tennesseans to enjoy guided First Day Hikes at parks across the state to ring in the New Year. All hikes are on Jan. 1st, 2022 with the exception of hikes on Dec. 31st at David Crockett State Park, Harrison Bay State Park, and Radnor Lake State Park. The hikes are designed for all ages and abilities; participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. (Clarksville Online)
  2. As part of its 2021 annual grantmaking process, the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) announced $2,664,888 in grants to 439 local nonprofit organizations. The grants will benefit nonprofits in 32 area counties, including Franklin. The top awards categories were: Human Services (Children & Youth/Women & Men/Seniors/Emergency Needs), Arts and Humanities, Education, and Animal Welfare. (rutherfordsource.com)
  3. This Christmas, a group of local musicians came together to help Williamson County families in need. The 2021 Leiper's Fork Christmas Album features 14 original and traditional Christmas songs performed by local artists. All the proceeds from the sale of the album will go to Leiper's Fork Helping Hands, a charity that provides hardship assistance to local children and families in need. (Williamson Source)
