Trendy Breakfast Joint in the Works for Franklin: Report

The restaurant's parent firm plans to buy historic mansion.

FRANKLIN, TN — A popular breakfast and lunch spot in Nashville's Gulch neighborhood is planning to open a second location in Franklin, according to a media report.

The parent firm of Biscuit Love has a contract to purchase a historic mansion in downtown Franklin, and the mansion's co-owner told the Nashville Business Journal that the Southern-style restaurant will become a tenant in the building.

Biscuit Love began operations as a food truck in 2012, offering "an assortment of Southern menu options sourced from local purveyors and farms," the restaurant says on its website. Today, its menu is crowded with regional favorites like grits, biscuit and sausage gravy, steak and eggs, and a dish called "Blacklock Hash," which includes skillet potatoes, smoked sausage, peppers, onions and sunny-side eggs.
