Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:

  1. If you regularly travel in and around Nashville, now's your chance to make your voice heard. WeGo Public Transit is seeking the public's input on potential changes to spring service. Those who wish to comment can head to WeGo Central on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 1-2 p.m., attend one of two virtual meetings (Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 12-1 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 26 from 6-7 p.m.), or submit feedback via mail, email, or phone. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
  2. Jan. 23 is National Pie Day, and a local restaurant is running a special to celebrate. Brentwood-based Papa C Pies, located about 10 minutes away from Franklin, offers both sweet and savory pies. On National Pie Day, for every large savory pie you order, you'll receive a free six-inch sweet pie for dessert. (Williamson Source)
  3. On Thursday night, a fatal crash temporarily closed down portions of I-840 in Williamson County. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the westbound lanes of I-840 by the Lewisburg Pike exit, as well as the entry ramp to Lewisburg Pike, had been impacted. As of 11 p.m. Thursday night, the interstate was fully reopened; no further information about the crash was available as of Friday. (WSMV 4)
