Williamson County Unemployment Rate Down Slightly, Still State's Lowest

The county jobless rate of 3.4 percent is Tennessee's lowest mark.

NASHVILLE, TN β€” The unemployment rate in Williamson County was 3.4 percent in November, down 0.1 percent from the October figure, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.

Once again, Williamson County has the state's lowest unemployment rate, slightly better than Davidson County's 3.5 percent. Of the 10 lowest county numbers, nine were in Middle Tennessee.

In the last year, the Williamson County jobless number has dropped 0.4 percent.

The estimated city-level figure for Franklin is 3.2 percent, the lowest among the state's cities of at least 25,000 people. In neighboring Brentwood, it is 3.5 percent.

The state rate, reported last week, is 4.8 percent, unchanged from October.
