Williamson County Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.6 Percent

The county boasts the state's lowest rate.

The unemployment rate in Williamson County dropped to 3.6 percent in July, down 0.2 from the June rate, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.

That gives Williamson County the lowest unemployment rate in the state. The county was tied with Davidson County for state's lowest rate in June.

In the last year, the county rate has dropped 0.9 percent.

The state rate, reported last week, is 4.3 percent, up 0.2 percent from June's adjusted rate.
