🌱 Williamson County Vax Rates + Five Points Franklin Market

Here are the top stories in Franklin today:

  1. Williamson County is Tennessee's second-most vaccinated county, trailing Meigs County by just one percentage point. According to data from the Tennesee Department of Health, 66 percent of Williamson County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of last week. This is significantly higher than the state average — just 50 percent of all eligible Tennesseans have been fully vaccinated as of Nov. 16. Full vaccination according to the CDC means two weeks have passed since a person has received their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or first dose of Johnson & Johnson. (Oak Ridger)
  2. The Five Points Franklin Market is coming back next week (Nov. 30) with four special holiday dates! The market will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. for the next four Tuesdays behind the Five Points Starbucks just off Main Street on 5th Avenue North. Support local small businesses this holiday season by visiting the nearly three dozen local farm, artisan, and food vendors, and enjoy live music and special performances to brighten the holiday season.   3. The Franklin Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square is happening next Friday, Dec. 3, with live entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. and tree lighting at 7:15 p.m. Enjoy the music of Matthew West, Layla Tucker, the Middle Tennessee! Freedom Intermediate School Honors Choir, and more.   4. Love Dunkin'? A new location is on its way to Franklin! Franchise operator and owner Steven Catalano expects his third Franklin location to open at 500 Cool Springs Blvd. in the old Regions Bank branch by the end of the year.
