Woman, 2 Children Killed In Williamson County Wreck

A midday Monday wreck on I-65 near the interchange with I-840 killed a woman and two children.

FRANKLIN, TN — A midday wreck killed a woman and two children on Interstate 65 Monday, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

A car overturned and caught fire on the on-ramp from I-65 to Interstate 840 around 12:30 p.m., the THP said.

The wreck caused extensive back-ups along the northbound lanes of I-65 and the on-ramp to 840 was closed until about 5 p.m. Monday.

The THP did not identify the victims. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
