NASHVILLE, TN — A woman was carjacked on the campus of Lipscomb University Saturday and detectives are working to find four suspects.
The woman was leaving Lipscomb Academy, where she works, in her blue 2003 Hyundai Sonata when she stopped on the university campus to text a family member around 11 p.m. While she was texting, one of the suspects tapped on her driver side window with a handgun, telling her to get out of the car, she told police.

As she reached for her purse prior to exiting the vehicle, a second suspect appeared on the passenger side and told her “you’re not taking that.” She got out of the car and noticed a third suspect nearby when the gunman told her to run. She called police from a nearby residence while suspects fled in her Sonata.
The woman said the four suspects arrived in a Toyota 4 Runner with a sunroof and possibly a sticker in the windshield on the lower driver side. The stolen Sonata — Tennessee license plate R1500W — has not been recovered.
