Burglars Fail To Shoot Their Way Into A West Meade Gun Store: Police

NASHVILLE, TN — Finding themselves flummoxed by steel bars on the windows, would-be thieves tried to shoot their way into a West Meade gun store early Tuesday, according to Metro Police.

Surveillance video shows several suspects breaking the glass on the door of Nashville Gun & Knife on Old Harding Pike, but steel bars blocked their entry, so the group pulled out guns and tried to fire their way inside. This too failed and police say the video shows that one of the suspects had to dodge a bullet that ricocheted back off one of the bars.

Metro Police responded to an alarm and the suspects had fled by the time they arrived. They never gained entry and nothing was stolen.
