Davidson County Unemployment Rate Down to 3.7 Percent
The Metro Nashville jobless figure fell 0.2 percent in October and remain's the second-lowest rate in the state.

NASHVILLE, TN — Davidson County's unemployment rate was down 0.2 percent in October to 3.7 percent, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.
That's better than every other county in the state, save Williamson County, where the rate is 3.7 percent. Of the ten lowest county-level figures statewide, nine were in Middle Tennessee and the six of the seven lowest were Davidson County and five of its neighboring counties.
Davidson County is tops among the state's four largest metros, besting Knoxville's Knox County (4.1 percent), Chattanooga's Hamilton County (5 percent) and Memphis' Shelby County (5.7 percent).

In the last year, Davidson County unemployment has dropped 0.4 percent.
The state rate, reported last week, is 4.8 percent, up 0.2 percent from September's adjusted figure.
