Green Hills Macy's Employee Bites Officer, Pulls Fire Alarm After Theft Accusation
Found with illicit merchandise in her purse, the accused thief made a raucous attempt at escape.
GREEN HILLS, TN — A Macy's employee at the Mall at Green Hills allegedly pulled out all the stops when she tried to evade arrest for purportedly stealing from her employer.
Brejaela Clayton, 20, "conducted a transaction" with another employee and then voided it, but placed the "sold" merchandise in her purse. When her shift was over, Loss Prevention officers searched her bag, discovering merchandise for which Clayton had no receipt.
Loss Prevention then called police and attempted to detain Clayton until the police arrived. Clayton bit one loss prevention officer, scratched the arm of the other and managed to pull the fire alarm during the altercation.
