Desperately needed rain is likely to fall on Green Hills Friday with colder temperatures blowing in thereafter.

GREEN HILLS, TN — A crisp weekend is in store after Friday night rain, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Green Hills. A freeze watch is in effect Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Friday night: A slight chance of showers before 9 p.m., with an increasing chance of showers storms and later. South winds of 10 to 15 mph veering northwest after midnight with gusts up to 20 mph. Overall chance of precipitation is 80 percent. A low of 41.

Saturday: Sunny and cooler with a high of 51. Northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, gusting up to 20 mph. A clear night with patchy frost after 2 a.m. with a low of 29.
