A man who cares for elderly dementia patients was held up and had his car stolen on Rosewood Avenue.

NASHVILLE, TN — In the fifth carjacking in the Nashville area in 24 hours, a man on his way to care for a pair of elderly people was held up on Rosewood Avenue. Even with the help of K-9 officers, Metro Police were unable to locate the suspects.

Around 9 a.m. Friday, the man pulled into a driveway of a home where he works as a caretaker for two elderly people suffering from dementia. Another car then pulled in behind him and blocked his exit. The victim told police two men got out of the car, pulled a gun and demanded his Toyota Camry. The suspects then fled, one in his Camry and the other in the car in which they arrived.

Cindy Moonrose, daughter of the patients, told WTVF she advised the victim to comply with the carjackers.
