Nashville Police Officer Injured By DUI Suspect
Responding to one alleged DUI wreck, a Nashville police officer was hit by a second suspected drunken driver.
BELLEVUE, TN — A Metro Police officer responding to a crash involved a suspected drunken driver was injured after he was hit by another DUI suspect in Bellevue late Wednesday.
A woman crashed into a utility pole at Old Harding Pike near South Colony Drive around 11 p.m. The officer, who has not been identified, was blocking the street during the clean-up and investigation when his cruiser was hit by an SUV.
The woman driver of that SUV is also charged with DUI, as was the driver in the first crash.

The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
