Sex Offender Arrested Before Easter Mass At Nashville's Christ The King

A registered sex offender was found lurking in a corner of Christ The King Sunday ahead of Easter Mass.

NASHVILLE, TN — A registered sex offender was arrested moments before Easter mass, lurking in a corner of Christ the King Church on Belmont Boulevard, according to Metro Police.

William Frankenbach, 38, was convicted in 2014 in Cumberland County for soliciting a minor. Metro Police got a tip that he was at the church and found him in a corner of the sanctuary, out of view of parishioners, when they arrived, according to an affidavit.

Frankenbach is prohibited from being around children or in a place where children are likely to be and had an outstanding warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.

He is charged with failing to possess identification as a sex offender and unlawfully occupying property near children, in addition to the outstanding warrant.
