After being shot, a man sought help from police making a routine traffic stop at a West Nashville gas station.

NASHVILLE, TN — Police making a routine traffic stop at a West Nashville gas station were interrupted by a much more pressing problem: a shooting victim.
Around 6 a.m. Wednesday, a Metro police officer stopped a car for a traffic violation at the Shell station at the corner of White Bridge Road and Harding Pike. A black car pulled up and the driver asked for help, as he had been shot in the leg.
The man was taken to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are speaking to the victim to determine where he was shot.
