• Arrests April 28 (themountainpress.com) — A Halls resident, 34-year-old Jeremy Micheal Jones, is listed among recent Sevier County Jail intake reports after being charged April 24 with driving on a revoked license and later released on bond. The broader report details dozens of DUI, drug, and warrant-related arrests from April 24–27 involving people from across East Tennessee and several other states.

• TSSAA softball district tournament brackets, scores for Knoxville area (knoxnews.com) — Halls High softball fans can mark their calendars now, with district tournament play starting May 4 against the Knoxville Central–West winner and additional bracket games scheduled through May 8. The brackets lay out who Halls could face next, plus game times and locations for other Knoxville-area teams.
