• Local fire departments and rescue squad receive more than $173,000 in state grants (chestercountyindependent.com) — Henderson Fire Department is receiving $43,408 in new state grant funding, part of more than $173,000 awarded to Chester County emergency responders. These dollars are meant to bolster equipment and readiness for local firefighters and the rescue squad. For Henderson residents, that means stronger support when emergencies strike close to home. 
• Henderson man arrested in Jackson investigation (chestercountyindependent.com) — A Henderson man was arrested after Jackson police identified him as the suspect in a July 29 public indecency case on South Highland Avenue. Henderson officers located and arrested the 28-year-old, who was then booked into the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex. The case highlights cooperation between Henderson and Jackson law enforcement.
