Child Safety Seat Checkpoint Set For Oct. 10 In Knoxville

The hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Knoxville Police Department will conduct a free child car seat checkpoint on Saturday,
October 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 917 E. Fifth Avenue.

According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA), 80% of all child restraints are used incorrectly.

During the KPD checkpoint, child car seats will be checked by a certified car seat technician.

The technicians will provide instructions and demonstrate the correct way to install your child's car seat.

Directions from I-40: Take exit 389 (Broadway - Hall of Fame Drive exit), Take Hall of Fame Drive toward downtown, Go 0.4 of a mile and turn left onto East Fifth Avenue at the Fraternal Order of Police Building, go 0.1 of a mile and turn left into the parking lot after going under the railroad trestle.
