La Vergne High School Locked Down As Police Search For Armed Man

A shirtless man armed with a knife and gun was spotted roaming through La Vergne neighborhoods Monday morning.

LA VERGNE, TN — La Vergne High School went into a precautionary lockdown Monday as police searched for an armed man reportedly roaming nearby neighborhoods.

La Vergne Police began receiving calls about a shirtless man running through the Plantation Drive area Monday morning carrying a knife and gun. The high school went into a code yellow lockdown, though Rutherford County Schools officials said the incident is not school-related.
