Northern Rutherford County faces its first chance of snow of the season this week.

SMYRNA, TN — Much colder air arrive this week after rain early in the week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for La Vergne and Smyrna. There's a chance for some snow to fly Wednesday night into Thursday as the chilly temperatures move in.
Monday: A 50 percent chance of showers after noon, otherwise cloudy with a high of 51. A 90 percent chance of showers and maybe a thunderstorm after dark, low of 50.
Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers before noon, then mostly cloudy with a high of 58. Winds of 10 to 15 mph could gust to 20 mph. A mostly cloudy night with a low of 38.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, high of 47, northwest winds of 5 to 10 mph. A 40 percent chance of rain perhaps mixing with snow after midnight, low of 31.
Thursday: A 20 percent chance of rain and snow before noon, high of 37. Partly cloudy and cold overnight, low of 19.
