La Vergne Teen Involved in High-Speed Chase With Kentucky State Police
La Vergne's Elcer Suarez eventually surrendered to the KSP, who found a 4-month-old improperly restrained in the back seat.
GLASGOW, KY — A teenager from La Vergne allegedly led Kentucky State Police on a high-speed chase in the southern part of the Commonwealth.
Reportedly, Elcer Juarez, 18, was clocked on radar at 99 m.p.h. on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway outside Glasgow, Ky. When troopers tried to pull him over, he accelerated, beginning the pursuit.
Eventually, Juarez pulled over and surrendered without incident. When he did give up, troopers found a 4-month-old girl in the backseat of the car but not restrained properly.

Juarez is charged with fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, reckless driving, failure to use child restraint device in motor vehicle and failure to wear seat belt.
