Man Charged With January Murder of Accomplice In Robbery of Rutherford County Deputy's Home
Glenn Roby is charged with murdering Adrin B. Ohaekwe after the pair allegedly fired shots at a deputy's home in January.
NASHVILLE, TN β A disagreement following an alleged aggravated robbery of a Rutherford County deputy's home left one of the two suspects dead and now the other has been charged with his accomplice's murder.
In January, Glenn Roby and Adrin Ohaekwe allegedly were involved in a shooting and robbery, believed to be drug related, at the home of a Rutherford County deputy while the deputy was on patrol. Smyrna Police say multiple shots were fired at the Caroline Lee Drive home, striking one of the men inside.
Roby and Ohaekwe then fled and shots were fired at two females. The next day, Roby turned himself in to police for the robbery and was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault. But the morning before Roby surrendered, Ohaekwe's body was found by a dog-walker on Old Smith Springs Road in Nashville. Witnesses in the area reported hearing gunshots a little after 1 a.m. An investigation by Hermitage Precinct Detective Donnell Barr led police to belive that Roby contacted Kevyn Allen after the robbery and Ohaekwe was murdered during a disagreement between the men.
