Marijuana Grow Operation, Weapons Found in La Vergne Home

More than $130,000 worth of high-grade pot and eight weapons were found in a La Vergne home, officials say.

LA VERGNE, TN — Rutherford County Sheriff's deputies arrested a La Vergne man last week after discovering a marijuana grow operation and several weapons inside his home.

Vincent Plummer, 54, is charged with two counts of manufacturing marijuana, possession of a weapon in the commission of a felony, maintaining a dwelling for the use of drugs and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Rutherford County Sheriff's detectives seized 15 marijuana plants, 27 pounds of processed marijuana, 240 capsules containing THC, and $23,000 cash, plus 15 vapor smoking devices, four handguns, an AR-15, an AK-47, a shotgun, a sub rifle, and ammunition. The value of the high-end marijuana is estimated at $130,000.

Plummer was released on a $39,000 bond and he is due in court January 18.
