Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold Begs Judge for Release From Jail
Robert Arnold said the Kentucky jail where he is being held is a "dungeon."

NASHVILLE, TN — Embattled Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold was back in court Wednesday, begging a judge to release him from jail ahead of his February trial on corruption charges.
Arnold has been in a Kentucky jail for 35 days after a judge ruled he violated the terms of his pre-trial release after a domestic-violence incident with his wife Labor Day weekend.
Wednesday, Arnold said the last 35 days have been the worst of his life and compared the Grayson County, Kentucky, jail cell where he's held to a dungeon.

He asked the judge to send him home Wednesday, agreeing to comply with any conditions set by the court. Arnold said he did not remember the events of Labor Day weekend.
“I love her and want to be with my wife and kids. Nothing on this planet is more important,” he said while crying on the stand, according to WKRN.
