Rutherford County Unemployment Rate Falls In February
The jobless rate fell in all 95 counties in Tennessee fell in February and was down to 3.7 percent in Rutherford County.

NASHVILLE, TN — The unemployment rate in Rutherford County was 3.7 percent in February, down 0.6 percent from the January number, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development. The jobless rate fell in all of Tennessee's 95 counties in February after two months of 95-county increases.
That gives Rutherford County the third-lowest unemployment rate in the state once again, trailing just neighboring Williamson (3.5 percent) and Davidson (3.6). Of the 10 lowest county numbers, nine were in Middle Tennessee.
In the last year, the Rutherford County jobless number has jumped 0.4 percent.

The city-level rate in La Vergne was 3.7 percent and in Smyrna was 3.6 percent, matching decreases of 0.6 percents from January.
The state rate, reported last week, is 5.3 percent, down 0.1 percent from January's adjusted figure.
