Smyrna To Announce Memorial For Blue Angels Pilot
Blue Angels Capt. Jeff Huss crashed during rehearsal for the Smyrna Air Show in June 2016; Smyrna will announce memorial plans Thursday.
SMYRNA, TN — Smyrna officials will announce a permanent honor for the Blue Angels pilot who died following a crash during a practice ahead of the 2016 Smyrna Air Show.
Marine Corps Capt. Jeff Kuss crashed shortly after take-off at the Smyrna Airport last June. City officials said plans for permanent memorial for Kuss in Smyrna will be announced Thursday afternoon at the Smyrna Events Center on Sam Ridley Parkway.

Kuss, a native of Durango, Colorado, had a wife and two children. He had logged almost 1,700 hours of flying time and had served in Afghanistan.
