Smyrna Auto Supplier Announces $25M Expansion

French auto supplier Valeo will add 80 jobs to its Smyrna facility after the expansion.

SMYRNA, TN — The North American arm of France-based automotive supplier Valeo announced a $25 million expansion to its Smyrna facility, adding 80 new jobs.

Valeo focuses on smart-driving technology and products that help reduce CO2 emissions. The company has 166 plants, 20 research centers, 38 development centers and 15 distribution platforms, employing 100,900 people in 32 countries. The expansion will add 130,000 square feet to the Smyrna plant, where Valeo will manufacture front-end modules, grill shutters and eventually HVAC products.
