Smyrna Firefighters Begin Annual Food Drive
For the 15th year, Smyrna fire stations will be collection points for non-perishable food items.

SMYRNA, TN — This week marks the 15th annual "Fire Fighters for Food" food drive as the Smyrna Fire Department collects nonperishable items for the Smyrna/La Vergne Food Bank.
The Smyrna/La Vergne Food Bank provided more than 74,000 meals last year to more than 300 families each month, with 45 percent of those assisted children under the age of 18.
The fire department will collect items at all five fire stations:

- Fire Station 1: 401 Enon Springs Road West
- Fire Station 3: 630 Enon Springs Road East
- Fire Station 4: 145 South Lowry Street
- Fire Station 5: 2200 Rock Springs Road
- Fire Station 6: 3640 Morton Lane
In addition to nonperishable, unexpired food, the food bank also accepts toiletries and paper goods.
The food drive runs from November 14 to November 20.
