Trash Trouble Piles Up in La Vergne and Smyrna
Garbage company runs into growing pains as complaints of delayed pick-ups spread into Rutherford County.

LA VERGNE, TN — A trash company which drew heavy criticism for slow pick-ups in parts of Nashville is now drawing similar criticism south of Hurricane Creek.
Customers of Red River Waste Solutions in La Vergne and Smyrna told WKRN they have gone as long as two weeks without their trash being picked up, echoing complaints from the company's clients in Davidson County who experienced similar delays following the holidays and the surprise snow storm earlier this month.
A company spokesperson told the station that it has recently bought two other companies and is experiencing "growing pains" as newly-acquired routes are being staffed up.
