Zoning Discussed For New Middle School in Smyrna
The school board discussed the zoning proposal for Rocky Fork Middle Monday; parents will have their chance Wednesday night.
SMYRNA, TN — The Rutherford County school board has had its chance to look at the proposed zoning for a new middle school in Smyrna. On Wednesday, parents get their chance.
The school board examined the zoning proposal for Rocky Fork Middle School at its meeting Monday night. Zoning is an inexact science, as planners do their best to keep siblings together when possible to reduce inconvenience for parents, while also keeping an eye on traffic and places where residential growth may come in the future.
According to the Daily News Journal, board member Aaron Holladay wants to maintain some flexibility on the zoning as growth nears Interstate 40.
