Journey into the enchanting worlds of Studio Ghibli as the Iris Collective performs beloved film scores live while iconic frames play on screen. Featuring music from Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and more. Enter the magical worlds of Studio Ghibli through the power of live music. In this special concert at your art museum, the Iris Collective performs beloved scores from some of the most celebrated animated films of all time while memorable stills from the films illuminate the screen behind them. The evening opens with iconic favorites including the sweeping “Merry-Go-Round of Life” from Howl’s Moving Castle, the serene beauty of “One Summer’s Day” from Spirited Away, and the breezy charm of “A Town with an Ocean View” from Kiki’s Delivery Service. As the concert unfolds, audiences will travel deeper into the emotional and fantastical heart of Studio Ghibli with music from Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso, and My Neighbor Totoro. The program concludes with a joyful and heartfelt finale featuring themes from Ponyo and Howl’s Moving Castle, ending with the beloved melody “Always with Me” from Spirited Away. Candlelight: Neo-Soul Favorites ft. Songs by Prince, Childish Gambino, & More

Get your hands inspired on May 23 at Super Saturday: MCA Pottery, a creative workshop inspired by the beautifully crafted ceramics on view in the MCA (Memphis College of Art) exhibition. In celebration of this retrospective show, young artists will explore form and texture by sculpting their own mini pottery pieces using Model Magic and kid-friendly clay tools.
This tactile activity introduces children to the basics of ceramics while encouraging imagination and individual expression—no kiln required! Whether coiling a tiny vase or shaping a whimsical bowl, each piece is a personal work of art.
Perfect for ages 5–12. All materials provided. Registration is required. Spots are limited—reserve yours early!

In this lively conversation, Curator Efe Igor Coleman sits down with Artist David Uzochukwu to explore his first solo museum exhibition and the themes of migration, belonging, and identity that shape his work. From collaborating with global figures such as Pharrell Williams, FKA Twigs, and Little Dragon to developing his distinctive digital collage practice, Uzochukwu brings together image-making, cultural memory, and storytelling. They will discuss his self-taught path, his layered creative process, and how personal and collective histories inform his bold, contemporary vision. Part of the museum’s Art &amp; Aperitifs series, this program invites guests to experience art through conversation in a relaxed and welcoming setting. This camp is about pushing creativity and exploration through collage and mixed media. Mixed media is a type of art that combines two or more different materials in one project. Campers will learn to combine mediums like painting, collage, and drawing! Campers will think outside the box by using conventional and unconventional materials to make their own masterpieces!&nbsp; This camp will encourage campers to problem solve, collaborate, and experiment with different artistic mediums!&nbsp;

Lunch Options
Lunch is available for purchase for $45 per camper per week. If you would like to purchase lunch for your camper, please select YES on the attendee information questions. You will be contacted in April to complete that payment.
Cancellation &amp; Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
If an event is canceled, no action is required to obtain a refund; we will issue a refund to the original method of payment used at the time of purchase.
If an event is postponed, rescheduled, or moved, your tickets are still valid for the new date, and no further action is required. However, ticket holders will receive an email notifying them of any available refund options for the event.

Parking is not on site. The closest parking to our boarding location is ACROSS THE STREET from 119 N Riverside Drive Memphis, TN 38103. GPS will bring you to the TN Welcome Center but DO NOT PARK THERE. You will see a "Riverboat Parking Sign" at the entrance of the fenced in lot directly across the street from the Welcome Center. This is a paid parking lot. To park here you will use the instructions on the signs throughout the parking lot to pay on the parking app. We do not own this lot. Once you park you will take the sidewalk South towards the boats. You will pass the River Garden Park on the left before you will be able to physically see the boats on the river. The boats are located at the intersection of Riverside &amp; Monroe. You will see the ramp that goes into the Cobblestone Landing at the top of the hill at Riverside &amp; Monroe where the metal gate is. THIS IS A 8-10 MINUTE WALK. If you have any guests who require assistance due to a disability or handicap, please drop them off at the boarding location BEFORE parking. You may drive down the cobblestones to the ramp for easier access. Please be mindful of not blocking the walkway to get onto the dock while doing so. This is ONLY for drop off purposes. This information will be emailed to you upon checkout.
There is no dress code but most our of guests dress casually – semi-formal.
We do not offer group discounts. If you are booking a large group by individually booking tickets, please make sure you but put the name of the group or party you would like to sit with in the box during your checkout process. It reads: “Would you like to sit with another group or party?” Please also make sure you select the name of the boat your party is on. If you do not specify you are with a specific group/party on a separate reservation you will not be seated together.
If you are celebrating a Birthday, you may bring a cake or cupcakes on board. Please do not bring candles or sparklers.
