Metal Forming Class: Leaves & Pods September 5, 2026 10 am-5 pm Learn a new skill in metalworking and create leaves and pods from copper sheet into beautiful jewelry. Artist Brandy Boyd will walk you through how to use basic metal manipulation techniques to create your pieces, the process of filing and hammering, and how to color your pieces through torches and chemical dips. Patinas will be available for use in class, and all materials are provided to make several pendants and one pair of earrings. Most students will have additional time and materials to complete additional pieces and findings will be available for purchase for your extra pieces. If you have a steel block or small anvil, bring it with you to reduce sharing time in class. Any size will work, but 4x4 is standard. If you have tools such as a cross-peen or riveting hammer, texture tools, specialty hammers, files or shears, you're welcome to bring them as well. Tools will be available for purchase in class by way of credit card to the instructor if you want to take some home to continue making more. There will be a lunch break, so please bring your own lunch or plan to grab lunch from the on-site cafe Fratelli’s. $110 MBG Members/$127 Non-Members
