2 Counter-Protesters Arrested At Nashville Trump Rally
A Saturday afternoon rally to show support for the president in Nashville drew plenty of opposition.

NASHVILLE, TN — Two counter-protesters were arrested during a rally on Legislative Plaza to show support for President Donald Trump.
Jordan Reid, 25, of Brentwood was arrested for attempting to incite a riot after repeatedly engaging in fights with supporters of the president, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, under whose bailiwick the grounds of the State Capitol fall. Violet Wood, 19, was charged with theft of property and evading arrest. The THP says Wood was stealing Trump merchandise.
Conservative radio talker Steve Gill, one of the organizers of the rally, estimated attendance at 1,200 to 1,600, according to The Tennessean, but other media reports, including from the Nashville Scene, said that the pro-Trump ralliers numbered fewer than 1,000. The event's permit predicted a crowd of 6,000.

There were occasional clashes beyond the one that led to Reid's arrest, though law enforcement were able to keep everyone separated by and large.
"We have been vilified on the left and in the press. We're not that kind of people, we go to work every day, we will raise a family, we go to church, we do our jobs, and that is at the end of the day what we're trying to celebrate here," event sponsor Mark Skoda said, according to WTVF.
