Update: Missing East Tenn. Girl Found Safe

Authorities had issued an Amber Alert on Friday for Yazmin Linares Medina.

UPDATE — The Tenesse Bureau of Investigation (TBI) announced at about noon Friday that authorities found a 10-year-old girl reported missing Thursday night from her home in Cleveland, Tenn. Yazmin Linares Medina was found safe "near the search area," the TBI said on its Twitter feed.

No other details were released. The bureau lifted the Amber Alert that it issued early Friday for the 10-year-old.

The TBI also thanked Twitter users and the general public for getting the word out.

NASHVILLE, TN — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) issued an Amber Alert on Friday for a missing 10-year-old girl from Cleveland, Tenn., according to media reports. Yazmin Linares Medina was reported missing Thursday night, WTVF NewsChannel 5 reported.

She goes by the first name of Arleth, authorities said. Police officers said Arleth was last seen walking in the area of Parker Street and 20th Street in Cleveland at around 8:20 p.m. Thursday.

She was believed to be in imminent danger, according to authorities.

Cleveland is a city in Bradley County, northeast of Chattanooga off Interstate 75.
