NASHVILLE, TN — Former Vice President Joe Biden is coming to Nashville.

Biden's book "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose" — which tells the story of the illness and death of his son Beau and Biden's efforts to fulfill his political duties while he was mourning — is set for a Nov. 14 release in conjunction a 19-city tour that comes to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center Nov. 19. “I hope my own story will strike a chord with other Americans who have walked the same path I have,” he said in a statement. “I have always been fortunate to have an incredible support system around me, and I understand how many people in this country go through far worse than I have, with far less support.”

The tour stops will feature panel discussions with local leaders.

Tickets go on sale July 28 through the Symphony's web site, the Schermerhorn box office or by calling 615-687-6400. Tickets include a copy of the book.
