If Cacophony, Paris Paloma’s 2024 debut, was a window into her inner world, 2026’s follow-up, The Fatal Flaw, sees her turned inside-out, her heart laid bare. Through Paris’s lyricism, soaring vocals and cinematic production, she conducts a meticulous post-mortem of her own emotions, revelling in their gruesomeness and catharsis, and ultimately resolving to cherish them as evidence of humanity at its most sublime. This new chapter arrives after a defining breakthrough year: her platinum-certified single “Labour” has ignited a global feminist movement, generating over 750 million Spotify streams and more than 11 billion views across social media, soundtracking conversations from reproductive rights to anti–sexual violence advocacy, and establishing Paris as one of the most vital and articulate voices of her generation.
The album opens with “Miyazaki”, a defiant creative manifesto named after the legendary filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki. “I have something to say,” Paris declares, breaking the fourth wall as she introduces a record rooted in the unstoppable human need to create. That emotional landscape is as political as it is personal. “Good Girl”, a formidable alt-dance reckoning with the commodification of women’s bodies, sparked widespread conversation following her appearance on BBC Woman’s Hour, while “Good Boy” reframes feminism as a call for solidarity with men, rather than division, with a powerful introduction read by Emma Thompson.
The Fatal Flaw is inhabited by a cast of Paris’ great loves: romantic and platonic love, love for herself and for the natural world. But each of these relationships are intertwined with a fourth love, a constant love of art, one that provides the vocabulary needed to express the inexpressible. With its title drawn from the opening line of Donna Tartt’s The Secret History, and influences spanning J.W. Turner’s seascapes, the writing of Bell Hooks feminist theory and the romanticism of the Pre-Raphaelites, the record at its core is a belief in art as a living, breathing force - the thing that “changes the colour of the air that I breathe.”
This balance between intimacy and expansiveness defines Paris’ world. Her live shows have become communal rituals, where fans exchange fairy messages, books and moments of quiet connection. Following a sold-out UK and European arena tour supporting Florence + The Machine - with Florence Welch joining her on stage in Berlin - she now steps into her own era of scale, with her biggest headline tour to date across the UK, Europe and North America.
Beyond the stage, her voice continues to resonate across global culture, with performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Later... with Jools Holland and The Kelly Clarkson Show, and acclaim from The New York Times, Rolling Stone and The Guardian. Paris has also contributed “The Rider” to The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, joining a lineage of artists whose voices have shaped the Tolkien universe.
Now, The Fatal Flaw starts a lineage of its own; an extraordinary collection of songs, an anthology from an artist at her most radically vulnerable, who urges us, in turn, to be brave enough to feel deeply. “I wanted to write these songs like they were for great walls, tapestries and heavy paintings, not just diaries,” declares Paris.
Susannah Joffe Indie Pop
Susannah Joffe is a Texas-raised, NYC-based artist making emotional indie pop that pulls equally from Austin’s soft-rock roots and NYC’s bright, chaotic queer scene. Over the last year, she’s become one of the most exciting rising names in indie music, growing to 2.2M monthly Spotify listeners, selling out headline shows in NYC, LA, and Austin, and building a fiercely online fanbase around songs that feel equally intimate, fiery, and devastating.
Her 2024 breakout single “Die Your Daughter” has surpassed 112M Spotify streams and exploded across TikTok with over 1.6M creates from fans. In June 2025, Susannah released her latest EP “Cult Leader” with lead singles gracing the cover of Spotify’s All New Indie and placements across New Music Friday, Lorem, Front Page Indie, Alternative Pride, Indie Pop, Women of Indie, and more.
Joffe will release her debut record this September through Broke Records - her most anticipated project yet. Most recent singles “Texas Baby” and “You Ruined Paris” have quickly become her fastest growing songs. The new music is more cinematic and expansive than ever, inspired by her hometown of Austin, Texas: the landscapes, the people, and the sounds that shaped her. Every town has them.
The underdogs. The people who never quite fit in. The ones who are misunderstood. The ones who strive, stumble, and keep going anyway.
With his second album, One for the Losers, Colby T. Helms tells their stories.
Raised in the Blue Ridge foothills of Southwest Virginia, Helms launched his career as a teenager, writing raw and ragged songs that drew from the people, places, stories, and struggles that shaped him. If his debut album chronicled his own experience, then One for the Losers widens the frame by looking outward. Across a dozen tracks, Helms shines a light on the overlooked and misunderstood characters who've crossed his path, from troubled friends and fallen mentors to moonshiners, immigrants, and working-class Virginians trying to survive in a world that threatens to leave them behind.
"This is a record for people who don’t feel like they have a voice," he says, speaking with a southern drawl colored not only by his Appalachian roots, but by the years he's spent singing at folk festivals, fiddlers' conventions, campgrounds, and dive bars, too. "I wrote my first album while I was still in high school, then I spent a few years on the road, playing those songs every night. One for the Losers delves into what it's like to be a road musician, as well as the characters and challenges you encounter along the way — and some of the ones waiting for you back home, too."
Country. Bluegrass. Folk. Helms' interpretation of American mountain music bears the fingerprints of them all. Largely recorded in Nashville with producer David "Ferg" Ferguson, the album is as diverse as its influences, balancing electric full-band performances with intimate, stripped-back recordings that place Helms' storytelling front and center. For Helms, that balance feels like an extension of a childhood spent on the borderlines, embracing the grey areas between social groups.
"In high school, you were either an artistic kid who did choir and theater, or you were a redneck in FFA," he remembers. "I did it all. I never fit into any one category, and I think my music is the same way. I play multiple instruments. I play multiple genres. I've got more than a few sides of music in me."
That diversity springs to life on the album's title track, which was inspired by a childhood friend whose struggles with alcohol ended in tragedy. Rather than offering easy answers, Helms uses the song to wrestle with grief, survivor's guilt, and resilience. "Young and Dumb" examines addiction through the eyes of someone losing a battle with it. "Deadhead on the Weekend" tells the true story a troubled former boss whose self-destruction ultimately cost him his job, while acknowledging the lessons he still left behind.
Elsewhere, Helms broadens the album's perspective. "Armed and Dangerous" tells the story of his girlfriend's father, who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border as a child and survived hardships that forced him into a life few Americans could imagine. Built around cinematic imagery and rhythms inspired by Mexican music, the song offers a perspective rarely heard in contemporary country songwriting. Then there's "Ballad of the Bondurant Boys," an epic acoustic narrative inspired by Franklin County's infamous moonshine era. Like many of Helms' best songs, it blurs the line between history lesson and folk tale, preserving a piece of regional culture while emphasizing more universal themes like power, injustice, and survival.
