Caught In The Crossfire: Pregnant Woman Injured In North Nashville Shooting

Police say a pregnant woman was caught in the middle of a gunfight and injured Wednesday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A expectant mother and her unborn baby are being treated at a Nashville hospital after the 38-year-old woman was caught in the middle of a gunfight, according to Metro Police.

Two groups of people travelling in separate vehicles began firing guns at each other around 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of Village Trail. The woman, who lives in the neighborhood, was hit. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Both she and the baby are expected to make a full recovery. The suspected gunman is described as a young black man in his late teens who was possibly driving either a dark blue Chevrolet Trail Blazer with tinted windows or a Hyundai Sonata sedan.
