Charge Against Thomas Vaden III Upgraded To Criminal Homicide After Shooting Victim Dies
Randal Faulk was struck multiple times outside his California Avenue home.

Thomas Vaden III, 21, was arrested today after an aggravated assault charge against him was upgraded to murder for the November 16th shooting of Randal Faulk, 56, outside Faulk’s California Avenue home. Faulk was hit multiple times and died on December 9th.

Vaden was arrested in the case on November 19th. He admitted to shooting Faulk after, he said, Faulk hit him first. Elements of Vaden’s statement were contradicted by witness information and video evidence. He is now charged with criminal homicide.
