Community's Assistance Needed In Identifying Driver For Saturday's Hit And Run Collision On I-24 In Nashville

Crash Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the hit and run driver of a black GMC Yukon that collided with a motorcycle early Saturday morning on I-24 near Old Hickory Boulevard in Joelton killing the rider, Jon Brooks, 61.

Brooks was riding his 1997 Harley Davidson east on I-24 in a heavy rainstorm when he was struck from behind. Debris removed from the rear of the motorcycle and recovered from the scene indicate that the vehicle was a black GMC Yukon, possibly a Denali, manufactured between 2007-2014 with the same grill style as the attached photo. The SUV received front end damage.
