Davidson County Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.7 Percent

The unemployment rate in Davidson County dropped to 3.7 percent in July, down 0.1 from the June rate, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.

That gives Davidson County the second-lowest unemployment rate in the state, bested only by Williamson County at 3.6 percent.. The counties were tied for the state's lowest rate in June.

In the last year, the county rate has dropped 1.1 percent.

The state rate, reported last week, is 4.3 percent, up 0.2 percent from June's adjusted rate.
