Detectives Investigating Fatal Stabbing That Claimed Nashville Man

North Precinct detectives are working to identify the person(s) responsible for Saturday night’s fatal stabbing of Melvin Daniel, 52, inside his Clare Avenue apartment.

At 7:50 p.m., Daniel pounded on his neighbor’s door asking for help and collapsed. Daniel was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

Daniel, who lived alone, was known to have frequent visitors. Anyone with information about Daniel’s murder is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
