Detectives Investigating Thursday's Fatal Shooting Of Man At Bridgeway Circle Apartment Complex

Robbery is under investigation as a potential motive in Thursday evening’s fatal shooting of Antonio Flores Garcia, 50, in a parking area of Haven Apartments on Bridgeway Circle in South Nashville.

Homicide Unit detectives were told that Garcia was working on his vehicle just after 5 p.m. when a man approached. The two engaged in a physical altercation, after which the man retreated to a dark blue Nissan sedan. A person inside the Nissan opened fire on Garcia as the car left. Garcia died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The person with whom Garcia had the altercation is described as a young black man with a light complexion. He is approximately 5’7” tall, has a thin build, and wore dark clothing.
