Detectives Investigating Tuesday Night's Murder Of Woman In South Nashville

Homicide and Specialized Investigations Division detectives are pursuing leads in the Tuesday night’s murder of Holly Vantrease, 27, of Nashville, who is believed to have been shot while in the passenger seat of a car in the area of 270 Tampa Drive, and was later dumped out in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Paragon Mills Road.

Investigation during the night in coordination with Lavergne Police led to the recovery of the car in which Vantrease was riding. It has been impounded and is being processed at the MNPD laboratory. A witness with the car was questioned. The investigation is continuing.
