Detectives Working To ID Person Who Fired Shots Toward Another Motorist On I-24 East

The motorist was not injured, but his car was struck.

Central Precinct detectives are working to identify the driver who on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. fired shots from an SUV toward another motorist on I-24 East near Spring Street.

The victim was driving his 2020 Tesla east on I-24 when the suspect vehicle pulled alongside him and, for reasons unknown, the SUV driver fired several shots from a handgun toward the victim/Tesla. The victim pulled over and contacted police. He was not injured but his car was struck.

The suspect SUV appears to be a gold/tan GMC Envoy.
