Driverless Car Caps Back-To-Back Midtown Crashes
A car with no driver ended a bizarre sequence in Midtown that left eight parked cars damaged, according to Nashville police.

NASHVILLE, TN — Moments after a truck inadvertently crashed into five parked cars on a Midtown street, a driverless car careened into three more in a bizarre sequence of events that also involved an apparent carjacking.
Early Tuesday morning, a car — sans driver — sped down West Grove Avenue in Midtown right into the middle of a crash scene. Metro Police say the abandoned vehicle had been carjacked moments before the truck's crash and that it's likely the carjacker ditched his booty when he saw police arriving. The woman was carjacked was not and a search of the neighborhood for the suspect was fruitless.

“A truck had wrecked into five cars here prior and while we were talking with the police, another driverless car came down the hill and wrecked into some cars at the bottom of the hill,” Lee Moneta-Koehler, who had two cars damaged, told News 2.
