Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival Returns May 5

The Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to the Westhaven community on Saturday, May 5, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

General admission tickets to the event are $15, and VIP tickets are available for $50 each. VIP tickets include exclusive, covered seating, two beer vouchers, and a commemorative event t-shirt. Parking is free and chairs, blankets and pets are welcome. All tickets include access to the kids’ zone, live music, craft vendors, food trucks, beer tent, and a beautiful hot air balloon glow at dusk, on the shores of Westhaven’s community lake.

Festival features include:

• Local musicians and bands featuring Brian Ritchey, The Tennessee State Performance Band and Patrick Carpenter;
• 12 Food Trucks including local favorites Doxie’s, Kona Ice, Cousins Maine Lobster, Two Thompsons Catering, Dan’s Mac Attack, and Bahn Mi and Roll;
• 25 local craft and artisan vendors.

A limited number of tethered rides and balloon walk-throughs will be offered, weather-permitting. Balloons for the event are provided by Middle Tennessee Hot Air Adventures, a Franklin-based family business.
