Freeze Warning Issued For Middle Tennessee Saturday Night

OLD HICKORY, TN — A freeze warning is in effect Saturday night into early Sunday morning for most of Middle Tennessee.

The National Weather Service predicts widespread frost across the region with temperatures dipping to near freezing in most places and even in to the 20s in low-lying regions. The entire Middle Tennessee area north of a line from Flatwoods to Tracy City is included in the warning.

The first frost of the season comes late by Nashville-area standards; the USDA pegs the annual first frost at October 14.
